Scrapbook supplies that you can donate include scrapbooking magazines, scrapbooking paper, scrapbooks and albums, adhesives, scrapbook markers and pens and any other scrapbook supplies that you have on hand. If you have a combination of new and used scrapbooking supplies to donate, you may want to separate them in case you want to donate to more than one place and one of the organizations only accepts new items for donation.
There are a lot of different charitable organizations that accept scrapbooking supplies as donations. If you are having a hard time finding a place to accept your scrapbook supply donations, just think about the types of places that would be doing crafts. Some charitable organizations that take scrapbook supply donations include hospitals, nursing homes, the girl scouts, long term car centers, shelters, churches and community centers. According to the How To Donate Guide website, some of the national charities that accept scrapbooking supply donations include the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Operation Scrapbook, the Child Abuse Prevention Association and In Her Shoes. You may also want to check with your local Goodwill donation center and the Salvation Army to see if they have a need for scrapbooking supplies in your area.
When you are ready to make your scrapbook supplies donation, you should see if the charity that you have chosen has a website with donation information. If not, give the organization a call to see how they accept scrapbooking supply donations. If the charitable organization is local, you can probably just drop off the scrapbooking supplies at the donation drop-off center. If the organization is not local, you will likely need to mail the supplies, at your expense, to the charity. If you need a donation receipt be sure to include a note asking for one that includes your mailing address. You may even want to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope for the donation receipt.
