How to Get a Dose of Healthy Bacteria and Keep a Healthy Immune System with DanActive

Drink a Yogurt a Day, Keep Germs and Illness Away

Most people know that eating yogurt is good for you...the acidophilus cultures in yogurt benefit's the intestinal tract and, in women, helps prevent that nasty itching you can get when you have to take antibiotics which kill off the protective flora naturally occurring in body....But, in the past few years, new cultures have been discovered that are stronger than acidophilus with even better protection, a new generation of yogurt called probiotics.

When they first arrived on the market a few years ago they were very expensive, the one we sold in our health food store cost nearly four dollars each, they were jam packed with different cultures but tasted nasty...That same year we discovered these products, when we were in Paris, we went to one of the big food markets, le Bon Marche'...we couldn't believe our eyes at how many varieties were being sold and at very inexpensive prices...it seemed quite a few of the people, we noticed checking out at the cash register, were buying one or more of these products...of course we bought some for ourselves and discovered that they didn't taste bad at all, to the contrary, they were delicious, if only we could get these in America we thought, at these prices...

Well, now you can!

Probiotics are the latest buzzwords in nutrition ...lately on TV and advertising campaigns we are bombarded with the wonders of these "healthy bacteria"...we've been told to "regulate yourself in two weeks"..."shore up your body's defenses"...It all sounds too good to be true, but what does it really mean?

Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that naturally occur in the digestive tract...Different strains perform different functions and modern science tells us that adding them to our food will enhance our digestion and immune systems. ....there are quite a few new products on the market now but the one I am most fond of and drink everyday is the DanActive with L. casei Immunitas...This is a small container, only 3.3 ounces and is said to contain10 million active cultures... that does seem a lot and the thought would be that it would be strong tasting but that's not the case...They actually taste delicious in a smooth creamy liquid blend that goes down easily....I drink mine with the handful of vitamins I take daily. And, as an added bonus, DanActive contains only 90 calories and 1.5 grams of fat, so it doesn't do much damage to your waistline...

But what does it do you might wonder? There have been quite a few scientific studies done around the world and in every case, it's been proven that DanActive provides a balanced micro flora in our intestines which act as a barrier against the growth of harmful bacteria, which, in effect, helps us maintain our health while they fight off the bad guys and strengthens our natural defenses.... keeping our intestines healthy, helps keep the rest of our body healthy...these probiotic cultures are more resistant to stomach acids and gets into our systems more readily than the older versions of cultures...Our intestines are where 70% of the body's immune cells are located so it stands to reason it pays to keep then in good shape

These living micro-organisms provide healthy benefits beyond basic nutrition and the key word here is living micro-organisms.... to be effective they must arrive alive in our intestines and in great amounts..The studies that have been done show that Dan-Active'sL.casei Immunitas are resistant to the digestive action of the stomach so they can go to work to protect us readily and easily and in full force.

I've been drinking one everyday for the past 2 years and have to say that, thank goodness, I've been fairly healthy in regards to my resistance to germs when exposed to others that are ill... I am a bit germ phobic so try to avoid sick people, even my beloved 4 little grandkids when they are ill, but you can't always know when someone is carrying around a little virus or cold germs...all I know is, so far so good! As for regularity, I have no problems in that regard...I know, too much information, but I thought I'd throw that in..

Even people who are lactose intolerant may be able to drink DanActive since products that contain live and active cultures can be tolerated because they break down the lactose as the product ferments and is being digested.

DanActive is available in 5 flavors for variety : Blueberry, Vanilla, Strawberry, Cranberry Raspberry and Plain...to tell you the truth, I don't care for the plain but my hubby does....my favorite is the Cranberry/Raspberry blend or the Strawberry. At first when they came out on the market they only came in four packs which cost $2.69, but recently they've come out with an 8 pack for $4.59..not too much of a saving but convenient...the problem is those larger packs only come in Vanilla and Strawberry...at least where I shop.

So keep your tummy happy with DanActive and hopefully the rest of your body will follow suit
