How to Download Bluetooth Computer Software

With today's busy lifestyles, everyone needs to get things set up and delivered faster. Innovations in technology have greatly contributed to allow people to do more things at a time. The internet for one is probably the most useful invention there is in allowing people to connect with each other in a short time even from opposite ends of the world. But the internet is only after the computer though, where without it, obviously there would be no use of the internet.

A more useful software that has huge benefits is the Bluetooth device. This helps people send and receive files quickly.

What is Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a type of wireless technology that can help people exchange data over small distances trough devices such as computers, cellular phones, laptops, and some other mobile devices. This type of technology makes use of radio transmissions that have short wavelength from 2400-2480 MHz in the ISM band. This was developed by the company Ericsson in the year 1994. Bluetooth can connect a lot of devices thus beating a lot of synchronization problems.

Not only is Bluetooth essential for important areas such as business and health, it also allows for faster transfer of files for personal usage, thus, gaining its wide popularity like wildfire. People use Bluetooth to transfer music and pictures from their mobile phones to their computers. This is probably one major reason why it gained such a quick favorable response from the public. Aside from that, it also allows them to talk on their mobile phones without keeping their hands busy. A Bluetooth device can be placed over their ears and then connected to their cellular phones so that they can talk while driving or pushing their carts as they go shopping.

How is Bluetooth Used?

When talking about Bluetooth, this usually means that a hardware or a minute computer chip is installed in that product. This chip has the Bluetooth technology and therefore will allow the user to connect it with other devices which has this same component.

If a cellphone and a computer both have this Bluetooth hardware, connecting them means "pairing" them. To pair devices, first you have to go to the settings and look through the options and search for "Connectivity." This works for most cellphones. In computers, they can be found at the control panel or just at the bottom left-side of the screen. The Bluetooth can be switched on by clicking on the "On." Once Bluetooth is on for both devices (whatever device that you want connected, you'll need both turned on), you can click on "Search" so that your device will be able to locate any Bluetooth activated nearby. Because Bluetooth allows for file transfer in short distances, make sure that the two devices are not farther than a meter. The range for every device will depend on the class of radio of the device that you have, but usually they shouldn't be farther than the above distance.

If you've found the name of the device that you want to pair with your other device, you can stop the "Search" and then click "Connect." Click the other device to allow for connection and then once connected, you will now be able to send files.

Fixing Problems with Bluetooth

It might be a great technology but problems still come with Bluetooth. You can refer to the manual that your Bluetooth device comes with for instructions on how to solve problems with connectivity.

Problems might occur such as not being able to connect or your Bluetooth device might not be recognized by your computer. The following steps usually help with problems.

  • Make sure that the Bluetooth is "On" for both devices, i.e., your computer and your cellphone, or whatever it is that you want paired.
  • The devices you want to pair are placed in a distance that makes it possible for data transfer. As mentioned, Bluetooth works in short distances so you have to make sure that your devices are as close as possible to make them work.
  • If your Bluetooth device is not recognized, try turning the Bluetooth off first and then either restart your pc or your cellphone and go back to step one of switching on the Bluetooth.
  • If still there is no recognition, try to remove the Bluetooth from your computer. Do this by going to the Control Panel, go to Hardware and Sound, and then go to Bluetooth Devices. Whatever is not working, right click on it and click "Remove." Afterwards, click on "Add" and follow the instructions that the computer gives.

These steps should pretty much do the trick.
