How to Download Yahoo Toolbar: IE or Firefox

For Internet Explorer and Firefox Users

Are you planning on adding Yahoo's Toolbar to your internet browser but are not sure exactly how to do it? Following these simple instructions can make this process easy and painless.

Internet Explorer Users:

*In your browsers address menu type in www.yahoo.com. In the top left corner of the webpage you will see small text saying Get Y! Toolbar. Click on this text.

*Upon clicking the text Yahoo's Toolbar installation is began by clicking the yellow Download Yahoo Toolbar button on the right side of the screen

*Yahoo Toolbar will automatically begin to install on your computer however if you are using Internet Explorer 7 you will have to click the grey download button in the middle of the next page to begin the download

*Once the download has started a dialog box will appear in the center of the screen. Select Run from the three options available

*Another box will appear and you will need to select Run from the options on this box as well.

*Yahoo's License agreement will appear and you will be asked to read and approve the agreement. Upon reading the agreement select the I agree option. You will then be asked if you would like to give yahoo feedback regarding their products and if you will allow Yahoo to collect information on the sites you visit. After making your selection choose install.

*Internet Explorer will restart and you will be ready to use the Yahoo toolbar.

Mozilla Firefox Users:

*In your browsers address menu type in www.yahoo.com. In the top left corner of the webpage you will see small text saying Get Y! Toolbar. Click on this text.

*Upon clicking the text Yahoo's Toolbar installation is began by clicking the yellow Download Yahoo Toolbar button on the right side of the screen

*You will then be taken to the User Agreement after reading the agreement click on the I Agree Button

*You will receive a message at the top of your browser window alerting you that Firefox has stopped a download. In the yellow box there will be a button on the right which says edit options. Select this button. Upon selecting the Edit Options button the allowed sites menu will appear. At the top of the box you should see a button that says allow. Select the allow button then close that window

*Proceed to step 4 of the instructions provided by Yahoo and select download now. You will then see a software installation box on you screen. Select Install Now.

*Restart Firefox to begin using Yahoo's Toolbar
