How to Make a Drake and Josh Halloween Costume

Drake and Josh is a popular TV show that most kids nowadays watch. Don't be surprised if your son comes to you asking to be a character from Drake and Josh for Halloween this year! You might think that such a costume will be hard or impossible to find, but all you need are a few simple pieces of clothing! Here I will tell you how to put together a Drake and Josh Halloween costume!

Let's start with Drake. Drake is known for his "rock and roll" attitude and look. More than likely your son will have items already in his dresser or closet to complete this look. Drake is often seen wearing long, slim fitting "skinny" jeans with a slight boot cut flare. If your son doesn't already own a pair, go ahead and buy some because he'll probably wear them as part of his everyday wardrobe long after Halloween. If not, take a look at a thrift or consignment store for something similar. Even a pair of slim fitting black pants might work as well!

For Drake's shirt, you'll want to find a slim fitting tshirt with a "rock and roll" design. Again, if your child does not already own one, try finding a long sleeved, somewhat tight fitting button down shirt. Drake is often seen in the TV show wearing a shirt like this. To complete the costume, have your son wear a belt that can be seen under his shirt. For accessories, they could wear a leather wrist band bracelet and a silver ring or two to complete his rock and roll image.

To take Drake's look even further, your son can some sneakers similar to Drake's and have then sling a guitar over their shoulder! You might not want them to use a real one, but a cheap toy guitar might suffice!

The other character is Josh. His style is more laid back and could be easier to accomplish. Josh wears long loose fitting jeans, but not baggy. If he's not wearing a simple polo shirt he's wearing a plain tshirt with a loose fitting, button down shirt open and over it. Your child will definitely remember the episode with Josh's "lucky" shirt, which was blue with a big design. All you need to do is browse a thrift store and you're sure to find something similar and will be most notable as a "Josh" piece of clothing. Josh is also always wearing a pair of black converse sneakers!

Of course, the best way to complete these costumes is to have your child and his brother or a friend of his go as the other character. The two will look great together and definitely resemble the TV show characters!
