If you would like to achieve a great look from Audrey, here are some great tips:
1. Black & White - Audrey was known for keeping her color schemes simple, mostly black and white. In order to sport a great black and white look, wearing a plain white button down shirt, black fitted pants and a pair of black flat shoes would complete this desired look. You can get some great black and white clothing at any large department store, or the Black & White store which carries many of the looks Audrey Hepburn was known for.
2. Scarves - Scarves never go out of style, and while Audrey was known to add a scarf too many of her outfits as an accessory, it is still very much the trend today. You'll want the scarf to be a neutral color so it will go with whatever you are wearing. You can tie it around your neck, or wrap it a few times around your neck. The look makes your neck look longer which makes your body appear leaner. Scarves are a hot commodity right now, but Banana Republic has a wide variety of the Audrey Hepburn look when it comes to this great accessory.
3. Little Black Dress - This look was started from when Breakfast at Tiffany's came about. Any plain black dress will work, and you can accessorize around it to get the exact Audrey Hepburn look. You can always find a great black dress at Macy's or JC Penny.
4. Hair - Audrey always was a firm believer in keeping hair off of her face. In the time when she was a young girl, having hair covering your face was a "no, no." Women were supposed to show off the beauty of their face, since other parts of the skin were generally not exposed. It's an elegant look, and still remains that way today for most formal events. The next formal event you go to, try pull your hair up into a high neat bun and accessorizing with some large beautiful clips.
5. Makeup - To achieve Audrey's make up tips, you'd need dark eye brow, a darker red lipstick, and long lashes. She had a very fair complexion, and only added a tad of blush to her cheekbones. While red lipstick isn't always the most popular color to wear today, if worn correctly without overdoing the rest of your face it can be worn elegantly, just the same as when Audrey wore it.
6. Jewelry - Audrey was known to have only a couple of great pieces of jewelry, and wore them with everything. While many people make the common mistake that more is better, this isn't always the case. As Audrey showed us, having only a small amount of high quality jewelry that can be worn with everything can be a much more particle and glamorous way to go.
