How to Dress like a Celebrity for Less

Celebrity's show off their style and have an enormous budget to fill their closet. This year is all about mixing it up. This fashion season quality will prevail over quantity. Rebirth an old item in your closet my adding a new accessory. Here are the 7 must have pieces for 2007 and where you can get them on a budget.

High-Waisted Pants: Cover up your crack; the high waisted pant is back! This is one fashion I am very glad to see returning. Pants are moving up and focusing on your waist, the smaller part of your midsection, and not your hips, the larger part. This season we should see less thongs hanging out and more women covering up. Nordstrom offers these pants in black with a pinstripe for $110 and Spiegel offers them in solid black for only $29.

Slim Fit Jeans: Skinny fit jeans seem to be here to stay at least for the time being. These jeans paired with a large bag can actually make your thighs look smaller. Take care when shopping for a slim fit jean as you could end up with pants like your mom! JC Penny's has Lev's slim fits for only $44 and Newport News offers them in stretch material for $39.

Oversized Bag: The oversized bag, when paired correctly, can do wonders. The giant bag can hold about every thing you own as well as make bigger girls look smaller. These giant bags take the focus off of your body and draw it to your accessory. Wowtag.com has a great selection of oversized bags for $40 and luggageonline.com offers Clava tote bags for $160.

Platform Shoes: This retro style is bigger and better this season. Platforms are here to stay and are getting even bigger this spring. Target offers platform shoes from $30 and snaz75.com offers platforms for 3-8 inches starting at $30.

Tunic Top: The tunic top is great for hiding those holiday mishaps. When correctly selected the tunic can hide that belly you developed with one too many fruitcakes. And with a belt or short jacket can make you look smaller. Nordstrom offers a tunic top for $20 and chicstar.com offers Japanese style tunics for $28.

Shrunken Trench: Trench coats are back this spring with a vengeance. These not so fashionable coats are back in style. Although they have changed their look again, it's the same old trench. Look for a trench in a shorter length and try substituting the tired tie for a snazzy belt. Designer Imports has Burberry trench coats for $369 and Eddie Bauer has short trench coats for $89.

Sheath Dress: The little black dress is coming back but with a bit of flair. Add a bright and unexpected accessory to your dress for a surprising outcome. Nordstrom has a very classic sheath dress for $128 and Bluefly has another black dress for $189.

This spring dress like a celebrity for less and remember quality over quantity. Show off your inner fashion this season by owning a few key pieces and the accessories to make them scream. Fashion doesn't have to be about money and remember that you can unleash your inner celebrity. Good luck and have fun shopping!
