Get set for the new film "MacGruber" which is scheduled to premiere on May 21, 2010. A parody of the "MacGyver" television series, the new movie should entertain anyone who loves comedy or SNL comedies.

Actor Richard Dean Anderson played the action-hero, science whiz MacGyver in the hit television series "MacGyver" back in the late 1980s and early 1990s. For more information about this wonderful thespian, check out his Wikipedia page at this link.

Recently Saturday Night Live (SNL) created a comedy sketch segment with a character named "MacGruber" who was played by actor Will Forte. The sketch was very popular with audiences who remembered and loved the "MacGyver" television series, especially the part of how MacGyver could escape imminent danger by using common household items to create cool emergency tools or to outwit villains. Richard Dean Anderson actually appeared in a few of these SNL sketches.

The SNL "MacGruber" character was so popular and so much fun that a full-length comedy action film was made, starring Will Forte, Val Kilmer, Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe and Maya Rudolph. The movie is scheduled to be released on May 21, 2010. You can get more information about the movie and watch the trailer at the official Web site at iamrogue.com/macgruber.

It appears that the "MacGruber" movie is not going to be the kind of light-hearted fare that "MacGyver" was on television. Instead, the "MacGruber" film will have some violence and profanity and may not be suitable for young audiences.

If "MacGruber" is successful as a movie, you may see a lot of people wearing MacGruber or MacGyver outfits or costumes throughout the year and on Halloween 2010. If you want to be one of them, here are some ideas on how to dress up as MacGruber or how to dress up as MacGyver.
