How to Dress like Top Fashion Models

Chrisdavy
Top fashion models have people who fawn over their every look, but there's no reason you can't dress like one! The only difference between you and top fashion models is that you don't pick clothes that fit YOU. Put a hatchet to your wardrobe, grab a few new accessories, and watch yourself turn into the spitting image of one of the top fashion models in the world! ;)

Things You'll Need:

• A wardrobe hatchet

• $1000 for new accessories

• Not color blindness

1. THE HATCHET. You absolutely must change your wardrobe at least once a year. Part of the appeal of top fashion models is that they are always up with the times! Get a style by picking your favorite country, and advancing your intelligence in the couture of that country. My favorite is Italy, so I'll use that as an example. Italy is good for young trendsetters who aren't afraid of angled dresses and striking fabrics and threads. So for Italy, I would get black leather boots, a shoulder fur, (CAN'T BE PETA), and black dresses that hug curves. Can't be scared with Italy. For those a little more conservative, I would go with Germany or England.

2. ACCESSORIZE. Once you have your main pieces, accessorize with a few essentials. The accessories are what makes the outfit, and it's what you should spend the real money on. For instance, if you're wearing the Italian black dress, a red Gucci purse and ruby bracelet would go great, and you can also wear that with red and white and a gold chain link belt off the hip. Top fashion models are the best accessorizers on the planet. So take that second job and get your butt into Nordstrom's!

3. MIX AND MATCH. Don't be afraid to make fashion mistakes. That's the only way you will learn. To be sure, top fashion models wear things on the runway that simply would not work in real life, but you follow their lead by curving some of the angles and toning down the flair of the colors and makeup, thereby making what was a top fashion model outfit now suitable for the workplace. Don't be afraid to get stares. After all, a mistake made enough times ceases to be a mistake. Same goes for fashion. As a matter of fact, I think that's all fashion really is.

AC's licentious, guilty pleasure. What can I say? I write about sex and money. You know, the important stuff. Giggle. (But I do it so well!) Fashion, too. LOL  View profile
