Fortunately for Drew he was able to find a diet and stick with it. He has been able to lose 80 pounds since the beginning of the year and is no longer diabetic and on any medications.
So, how did Carey accomplish this weight loss? He tells People.com that he followed a diet of "no carbs." He says, "I have cheated a couple times, but basically no carbs, not even a cracker. No bread at all. No pizza, nothing. No corn, no beans, no starches of any kind. Egg whites in the morning or like, Greek yogurt, cut some fruit." He also adds that dinner is usually grilled chicken with steamed vegetables that the only think he drinks is water all day long.
Drew Carey didn't just lose weight from his diet though, as he added in regular exercise to shed the fat. His gym regiment contains, "lots of cardio. About 45 minutes of cardio, at least 45 minutes of cardio."
According to Drew he has been able to not only shed the 80 pounds but went from a waist size of 44 to a 33-34. He even revealed that he would love to lose another 10 pounds so that he can fit into a size 32.
A Closer Look at Drew's "No Carb" Diet

A no carb diet is diet in which a person consumes no more than 5 net carbs in a day while low carb diets can range anywhere from 8-30 net carbs in a day.
