The first idea on how to use dried roses is to simply leave them out in a vase. Bouquets of dried roses look just as lovely as fresh cut roses and can be a beautiful centerpiece for your table, set on an end table, or even centered on your coffee table. You can leave the stems long and place them in a tall vase or you could trim the stems and stuff the dried roses into an old ceramic teapot.
Dried roses can also be used to create sweet smelling potpourri. Combine dried rose petals with herbs and sweet smelling oils to create a potpourri mix you can use to make your home smell great. For some potpourri recipes using dried roses you can visit this link.
As a way to decorate your home, dried roses can be used to create beautiful wreaths to be hung on doors, or your wall, or in front of a window. Simply purchase or make your own wreath base and add your dried roses along with dried baby's breath, and other beautiful dried flowers if desired. You can also add some ribbon to your wreath to further decorate it. A heart shaped foam wreath can be covered with dried roses to be used for a Valentine's Day decoration you can make yourself.
Dried roses can also be attached to hair barretts and the ends of pens after trimming off most of the stem and attaching with floral tape or wire. You can even make a pretty crown out of dried roses for a little girl to wear for dress up. Fresh flowers are often looked at as a gift that can only be enjoyed for a short period of time. By using one of the ideas above you can enjoy your roses even longer.

I love the potpourri idea!
Nice work, Karen! I've kept the roses my husband gave me 9 months ago. After they dried out, I placed them on the window sill in the kitchen.
