Drinking more water can be your first step towards your weight loss challenge. Thirst and hunger are related to each other. Many times when we feel thirsty, we mistake it to be hunger and start eating. If you do not drink enough water, you are subconsciously driven to eat more and gain the unnecessary calories which your body turns in to fat. This obviously increases the weight. Many foods contain added sugar, fats and refined products, which contain less water. You may feel more thirstier when we tend to have this type of food. So to balance the water content, we need to drink more water.

Now the actual question, how much water do we exactly need to drink? An average person should get at least 8-10 ounce glasses of water. This can vary from person to person according to their weight and food habits. If you are obese then you need to drink even more water than a normal person. Even it is important to drink more water if you are exercising, as you tend to lose water from sweating. Drinking water before and after exercising can help you keep energized after the exercise. Naturally, we need to drink plenty of water when you are traveling for long hours or working until late in the night. It is important that you avoid drinking water while eating; this slows down the digestion process. However, you can have water 15 minutes before having a meal.
When you are on a diet, which contains raw fruits, vegetables or sprouts, you get the necessary water from these products, which is sufficient for the body. Therefore, it is very important for you to drink more water, when you have processed food or oily food. These foods have no water content as water content can spoil the food, processed food are left with no water. You can even observe for yourself, as you get to eat anything junk or processed you tend to feel thirstier. Water helps in flushing out not only the toxins but also the fat stored in our body, thereby increases the metabolism, and results in regular appetite. Drinking plenty water can solve some of your health problems like headaches, constipation, blood pressure, skin problems.
Drinking other fluids can definitely help you hydrate your body but you tend gain extra calories, which eventually results in weight gain which we do not want. If you want to try some flavor in water, you can add lime or lemon. You can also have warm water in the place of cold water. If not all the time, at least once or twice in a day, especially in the morning you can have warm water with lime and honey. This can be a good start of a day for everyone who wants to lose weight. It can be a good idea to stop drinking water before two hours you go to bed.

People with kidney problems and other conditions should follow the doctor's recommendations about the quantity of drinking water. It is very important that you should not drink water all at a time. This can cause many problems, so you can have in regular intervals all through the day for a good result.
You can start drinking plenty of water from today to burn those extra fats. You can keep a bottle of water with you and see that drink water what so ever you are doing like working in the office, or cooking, or travelling, or studying, or even when you are listening to music. Moreover, it is necessary to measure the quantity of water you drink, as too much of anything is not good for anyone. When you start getting all the water you need, it is sure that you notice the change in your appetite in less than a week. Go ahead and start your day by drinking water for your challenging attempt to weight loss.
