Sometimes you might find yourself needing a copy of your driving record information. If you've got to appear in traffic court, for instance, oftentimes your attorney will advise you to get a copy of your driving record information. Other times, you might just be curious what's on your driving record. Whatever the case, you can get driving record information will relative ease from your county courthouse.

Things You'll Need

Identification

Step 1

Go to your county courthouse.

Step 2

Find the clerk of court's office.

Step 3

Take a number and wait for your number to be called.

Step 4

Tell the clerk your name and that you would like a copy of your driving record. You will be required to provide proof of identification.

Step 5

Wait for your record to be printed, and then pay the appropriate fee for it.

Tips

You can request a 3 year, 7 year or complete driving record, but the more pages that your record contains the more the record will cost.

Warnings

Fees vary based upon your county and state.

You can only get driving record information for yourself unless you have authorization to get someone else's, like if you're an employer checking a potential employee.
