How to Make the Dude's Drink

The Dude's Drink, the White Russian, is a "digestif." That means it is best served at a time AFTER dinner or at such time in which you wish to RELAX. Don't serve it early at a party where you want everyone to get hype. Oh yes, you can control people's moods with the drinks you serve! Just stick with me, kid. I'll school ya.

Step 2

Make sure you have an "old fashioned" or "whiskey" glass. You will know them becase they are short, fat, and wider at the rim than at the bottom. These glasses are perfect for drinks in which you are mixing an ingredient that is melting. It spreads out the flavor.

Step 3

Fill the glass with ice cubes. The Bartender's Rule with ice: You drop in until a cube reaches past the rim. Usually this is 4 or 5.

Step 4

Fill glass with 1 oz GOOD vodka and 3/4 oz Kahlua. Grab a tablespoon of lightly whipped cream and stir in to taste. Or not. One of the reasons I say don't use the liquid cream is so you may experience the taste of gradually evolving sweetness as the cream melts into the rest of the drink.
