How to Dye Your Eyebrows

Many women dye their hair, for a variety of reasons. Some may not be thrilled with their natural hair color, others may have gray and some just enjoy experimenting with different looks. When the color you choose to dye your hair is drastically different then your natural color, it may be necessary to dye your eyebrows. Dying your eyebrows is not difficult, it just needs to be done carefully.

Dying your eyebrows requires a small amount of necessary preparation, to ensure things go smoothly. Start by cleaning your face with a mild soap. Dry your skin completely. Place your hair in a head band and ponytail away from your face.

Next, use a Q-Tip to out line your eyebrows with Vaseline. Be careful not get the vaseline on any of the hairs from your eyebrows. A light outline of the Vaseline will prevent any dye from staining the skin around your eyebrows.

After you have colored your hair at home, their is inevitably some hair dye left in the applicator bottle. Even if the dye is only left on the walls of the bottle, it should be plenty to dye your eyebrows with. Take a Q-Tip and swab the inside of the dye applicator bottle until the tip is saturated. Be careful to keep the swab intact, because it is easier to be neat when it isn't pulled and fraying.

Now that you have the dye on the Q-Tip, you can carefully color your eyebrows. You will do this by gently applying the dye on the Q-Tip to the eyebrow hair. Make certain that all hairs are saturated. You can use multiple Q-Tips and re-dip them in the dye if needed. Make sure the eyebrows are neat and not dripping with dye. It is essential that dye does not get into your eyes.

Leave the dye on your eyebrows for about fifteen minutes. Carefully take a wet paper towel or an old wash cloth and remove the dye from the eyebrows. After you have removed the bulk of the dye from your eyebrows, you will need to wash your face. Be extra careful to not get any of the dye or dye water in your eyes.

Dying your eyebrows should always be reserved for a qualified professional if at all possible. However, it can be done safely at home if all precautions for eye safety are taken. If you choose to dye your eyebrows at home, make sure that you take your time and be very careful to protect your eyes from excess dye.

i should have done this... o_o i thought that since i was going platinum, it would look funny if i had jet black eyebrows so i put some bleach like.. all over my face hahahaha!! well not intentionally, but it kinda got that way with the messy gloves and stuff. so now parts of my eyebrows are like a light blonde and parts are still black. it's soooooo funny. i shouldn't have even bleached them that long in the first place. now i have to draw them on with my eyeliner.
