There are plenty of families who may need their leaves raked, but can not afford to hire a service to clean up their yard for them. So you can instead let some of your neighbors know that you are looking for some odd jobs raking leaves. Be sure to set your own price ahead of time and have them sign an agreement to pay you when the work is done. It does not have to be a fancy contract agreement that you give them. Instead it can just be a basic contract that you can easily find online. Also be sure to give a recipe to them after they have paid you for your services, as well as sign the contract saying the work was completed properly.
Winterizing a home
There are also plenty of families that do not know how to winterize their homes. With a little affordable help from you they can easily make sure that their home is properly winterized on the inside. Of course in order to do this job you will really need to make sure that you know what you are doing. Have a checklist of all the items that you will want to check. There are plenty of websites online that offer tips on winterizing your home. This may seem easy for others to do but with parents busy working, they may just not have the time to get the job done.
Dog walking
During the cooler months, you will find that many people struggle to walk their dogs. So you can offer your services during the winter months. Set up a flat fee on a daily or weekly basis.
