Helium.
One site that allows you to write articles for money is called Helium. Helium basically gives you a share of the advertising revenue that your ads generate. This is one of the easier sites to write for because their standards are not too high just yet. As for the article requirements, make sure they are at least a hundred words in length. And no plagiarism. This applies to any writing site, and you should expect to be banned if you do plagiarize an article.
Associated Content.
Another site, named Associated Content will pay you upfront for your articles. However, Associated Content reserves the right to reject your articles if they feel they are not up to their standards. The requirements for the articles are four hundred words, good spelling and grammar, and a good topic.
Constant Content.
Constant Content is yet another writing site. This is one of the more difficult sites to submit your articles to. Basically, if three of your articles are rejected then you will be suspended for an unspecified amount of time. As for Constant Content's standards they are just like Associated Content.
The main difference between Associated Content and Constant Content is their payment system. While Associated Content pays you upfront(unless they reject your article), Constant Content allows you to set your own price for your articles. If your article is sold then expect Constant Content to take a third of your money as a commission.
Xomba.
Xomba is yet another writing site that you can use, and it is probably the easiest one to submit your content to. You are allowed to submit blog entries, articles, and photographs. However, if you want to earn money from Xomba then you have to open a Google Adsense account. Once you have opened your Google Adsense account, you give Xomba your Adsense code.
After this, your Google ads show up above and underneath your article. When someone clicks one of your ads on the Xomba site, you will be paid half of whatever that click generates. The other half of the money goes to Xomba as a commission.
Use Your Own Site.
Of course, you can also post your articles on your own website if you like. This allows you to place Google ads and affiliate links wherever you please. And best of all, you don't have to worry about your articles being rejected because you're the reviewer.
As you can see, earning money from your articles is easier than you may realize. All you have to do is supply these companies with your quality articles, and you can make money. Don't give up your day job, but you will have a nice second income from these sites. Good luck!

Post a CommentI have complained to the state attorney general of Massachusetts about Helium and they agree that Helium is unethical and unsavory and likely abusing writers.
The problem is that they need to receive a lot of complaints about the payment issue before the state can take legal action on a class action basis for the writers.
The state attorney general will have someone pose as a writer and than politely complain about any mistreatment from Helium. If the writer is banned or the issue unresolved. The state attorney general can take action.
The state attorney general will also question the nebulous ever changing contract Helium unfairly rail roads their writer into agreeing to.
So, everyone, please write to the state attorney general consumer protection division in Massachusetts to complain about Helium. They will not reveal your name to Helium so you can still access the site and need to have no fear of being banned.
If enough people complain we can get the site shut
Helium is a scam, IMO.
The other sites mentioned are much more fair an up front. I will no longer write for Helium.
Why?
There is no contract in the traditional sense. Their contract has always reserved the right to change the terms at any time for any reason.
The author receives no written contract. Also, simply signing into the site ensures that the writer is trapped into agreeing to the new contract with new rules. The older articles written under the original contract are not grandfathered. The older articles are paid out under new rules, whether or not the author likes the new rules.
In addition, in order to rate so the authors articles will earn money, the author must sign in. Hence there is no way to avoid agreeing to the new contract.
Moreover, if you must rate to earn money, you are working for free because rating takes up a lot of time. If you do not rate, your articles do not earn money. The rating requirement was not in the original Helium contract
Thankyou. I am fairly new to this game and your direct information is just what ive been searching for.
There is also a new site (where I work) called www.viewpoints.com. You can check out the opportunities there too! Look under the community link. It is a pretty casual writing environment.
Thanks for sharing this info.
