How to Earn More Page Views with Blogger Blogs

Sierra Koester
Promotion of our work on Associated Content is probably the hardest aspect of writing for AC for most content producers. I know promotion is the hardest aspect of writing for Associated Content for me, but I know promotion of my work is essential.

I have discovered the usefulness of blogs to promotion. This article will give you tips on how to use blogs to promote your content.

Blogs have become quite popular on the Internet recently. For this reason blogs are a great tool to use for promoting your content. I use Blogger, so I will be explaining how to promote your content using Blogger blogs. However, there are tons of other free blogging services for which the tips in this article will also be useful.

To create a Blogger account go to: www.blogger.com. Approximately three-fourths of the way down the home page, you will see an orange arrow that says, "CREATE YOUR BLOG NOW". Click on the orange arrow and follow the instructions from there. Creating a blog on Blogger is extremely easy and fast!

You should have a purpose for your blog. For instance, your purpose might be to promote your content for Associated Content. On my cat blog, Fur Everywhere, my blog's purpose is to entertain and inform cat owners and lovers about the most current issues.

It would be wise to relate your blog's purpose to your ability to promote content. Specifically, you may want to consider creating a blog on a topic you write many articles about for Associated Content. This will allow you to easily promote your content. For instance, I am able to link to several of my AC articles on Fur Everywhere because I do a lot of writing about cats.

To promote your content using a blog, I suggest you give a short introduction to your article. Immediately after your introduction, put a link to your AC (or other) article you are promoting.

For instance, here is an example of an introduction to a link to an AC article I wrote on how to have a kitty shower: It's normal to have a baby shower for expecting mothers, so why don't we have pet showers for soon-to-be pet owners? Well, some people do!

How to Have a Kitty Shower will show you how you can welcome a cat into your home and life.

To create a link to the Associated Content article you are promoting, highlight the text you want changed into a link. In this case, you would highlight the words, "How to Have a Kitty Shower". Next click on the "Link" button on the toolbar that sits directly above the body of your blog post and directly below the blog post's title.

Open a new Internet window and go to your Associated Content Content Producer page. Click on the article you wish to link to in your blog post. Copy the web address of your article and paste it into the "Link" box, which popped open when you clicked on the "Link" button in Blogger.

Finally, hit "OK," in the link box. You've created a link to your AC article! You're ready to hit the "Publish" button to post your blog post.

You can easily promote numerous articles in your blog using these techniques. Personally, I link to my AC article only occasionally in my cat blog, Fur Everywhere, but I have been successful in driving more individuals to my content pages. You, too, can begin to accumulate more page views by using these tips. Good luck!

Thanks for the useful info, Sierra. Animal care and behavioral info seems to be a big topic for web surfers. I'm sure your blog will do well!
