How to Make an Earring Holder that Also Holds Hair Accessories
Easy to Make Earring Holder that Doubles as a Hair Accessory Holder
You will need the following items to make an earring holder:
Embroidery hoop (you pick the size!)
Cross stitch fabric
Ribbons
Hot glue gun
Earring Holder / Hair Accessory Holder Assembly Instructions
Stretch the cross stitch fabric across the embroidery hoop and secure it. Make sure it is tight.
Turn the earring holder over so that you are looking at the underside of the hoop.
Cut several pieces of ribbon. You can use as many or as few as you would like. Make sure they hang at least 10" for the best look.
Use the hot glue gun and secure the ribbons to the back of the embroidery hoop. The ribbons should hang from the bottom of the earring holder.
Using Your Fabulous New Earring Holder To Hold Your Earrings and Hair Accessories
Poke your earrings into the cross stitch fabric (the holes are already there) and secure them on the other side with the earring backing. They will stay safe and secure in the earring holder.
You can use the earring holder with hoop earrings as well. Just weave the post into the cross stitch fabric instead of poking it all the way through.
Take your hair barrettes and clip them onto the ribbons. You can also clip small banana clips onto the ribbons.
Hang the earring holder on your wall. Now you can see all of your earrings and hair accessories at a glance!
Customize Your DIY Earring Holder Project
Paint the wooden embroidery hoop any color you want. Allow it to dry and proceed with the rest of the instructions.
Cover the metal on the top of the embroidery hoop with a silk flower or a bow.
If you have a large collection of earrings, make several small earring holders. Each holder can hold a specific earring collection. One for gold earrings, one for hoops, one for gemstone earrings, and so on.
You can experiment with different colors of cross stitch fabric and different ribbons to make an earring holder that matches any décor in your bedroom or bathroom.
Earring holders work great for little girls. The earring holder makes it easy for them to keep their earrings and hair barrettes in one spot.
Earring holders also make great gifts!
