How to Easily Clean Cooked Egg Off a Frying Pan

Laurie Meekis
Cooked egg often sticks to a pan like glue. It can even stick to so called non-stick pans. Hard scrubbing and soaking in the sink is an option but there is an easier way to remove the cooked egg from your frying pans. Try this simple method to make clean up easier.

Supplies Needed:

Stove

A spatula or spoon

Soapy water and a soft nylon mesh scrubber

*Turn the burner on the stovetop on low.

Instructions:

*Add water to the dirty frying pan. Add enough to cover all the cooked on egg on the bottom and the sides of the frying pan.

*Leave the burner on for 15 to 30 minutes. You can work on other cleaning while the stove does the heavy scrubbing work for you.

*Use the spatula or spoon you used to cook with to see if the egg has loosened from the frying pan. Then scrape the excess off. If it is absorbed it should come off easily.

*Dump out the dirty water with the loose egg in it.

*Wash it in the sink with your other dishes. Cooking the cooked egg helps the egg to absorb the water and to loosen the baked-on mess.

*To make it work more quickly add hot or warm water instead of cold.

Safety Tip:

Do not walk away and forget you have the burner on while the egg loosens from the frying pan.

The egg should come off easily using this method. It makes cleanup less of a hassle.
