How to Make Easy Banana Nut Bread

ChristyL
Things You'll Need:
1 cup sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 cup soft bananas, mashed
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (substitute your favorite nut

1 Cream together soft butter and sugar. I soften the sugar in a microwave safe bowl for a few seconds on high heat.

2 Add eggs and mashed bananas.
To get soft bananas simply leave your yellow bananas sit around a few days until the peels start to blacken. Eww. Putting them into a paper bag will speed up the ripening time.

3 Sift dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture.
Yes, I use two different bowls. I would hate to come across a spot of unmixed salt, yuck.

4 Add nuts. If your family isn't around, walnuts will do. Taste fine with pecans too. Go ahead be daring in your nut choices!

5 Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan for about 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Test with toothpick. Stick in the center and if it comes out sticky, bake a little more.
