For each Lifesavers candy train you will need: one roll of Lifesavers hard candy, one Hershey's Hug or Kiss, one small square caramel, four round hard candies (cinnamon disks or peppermints) and one Hershey's miniature candy bar. For this craft, the shapes are the important thing, so choose any flavor of the above candies as long as you have the same shapes. You will also need a craft hot glue gun and something small, like a 5-stick gum package, to support the Lifesavers train while it dries.
Place the Lifesavers roll on top of the small pack of gum. Hot-glue two peppermints or cinnamon disks on either side of the Lifesavers roll for the Christmas train's wheels. Allow them to dry complete before adding any other elements.
Glue the square caramel on top of the Lifesavers roll on one end. Arrange the miniature Hershey's bar on top of the caramel. Line up the edge with the outside of the caramel; the other side will hang over the inner edge of the caramel.
On the opposite side of the Lifesavers, glue the Hershey's Kiss-shaped candy upside down to resemble the train's front funnel. You can add an additional peppermint or cinnamon disk to the end of the Lifesavers roll on the end with the Hershey's kiss to represent the train's headlight.
You can use packs of gum, five Starburst glued together, or Jolly Rancher pocket packs instead of Lifesavers if you prefer. If you are using the candy trains as Christmas decorations, try making train cars to go with it. Use other shaped candies with four peppermint candies or cinnamon disks as wheels.
Tie ribbon around the center of the Christmas candy trains to use as ornaments or package toppers. Add a special Christmas message and place one on every co-worker's desk, or simply drop in stockings and goodie bags.
