How to Eat, Drink and Be Healthy This Christmas

luv2write
Often Christmas Day is all about eating and drinking. But we should not make it the center of attention. Make some new, healthy traditions this Christmas for your family and enjoy it a healthy way. Here are a few very easy tips that you can follow and enjoy a healthy Christmas.

- Start your Christmas day with a light breakfast of oatmeal and fruit salad. You can enjoy yogurt and add fresh fruits, applesauce, nuts, jam, canned pineapple this morning. Smoothies are also easy and healthy to try. You can also go for bananas and peanut butter sandwiches.

- After presents, head outside to spread some cheer. Offer to shovel your elderly neighbors' snowy sidewalks and driveways.

- In the afternoon, you can set out healthy snacks, such as trail mix ( combine raw almonds, seeds, granola and a little chopped dark chocolate) and tangerines, instead of going for cookies and candy.

- Do not open the champagne too early in the day. Save the calories for a glass of wine with dinner.

- You can have some outdoor fun before the feast. Go for sledding or snowshoeing. You can enjoy inflatables like giant snowman, Santa Claus, penguins, carousels etc with your kids.

- After dinner, take a walking tour of lights in your neighborhood and enjoy !!
