A sit down breakfast at home is always nice, no matter what time of year it is. Perhaps spring is the nicest time to have a sit down breakfast or brunch at home on a Saturday morning, because you can actually take the breakfast outside to enjoy the cool, crisp spring air with your breakfast. Here is how to create a beautiful and edible spring centerpiece for your spring breakfast table.

ITEMS NEEDED:

There are two different ways that you could create this edible spring centerpiece. Either way you will need a large white bowl to make your centerpiece. You will then either need some large green lettuce leaves or some green fern leaves. You will then need eggs for either way that you choose to create the centerpiece. You will need some brown and white eggs if you are not coloring your eggs. Finally, you may or may not need egg coloring to color your white eggs with.

CREATE THIS EDIBLE SPRING CENTERPIECE:

To start create this centerpiece, first you will need to hard boil your eggs. Next, if you do not want to color your eggs, then simply place the large lettuce leaves into the bottom of your white bowl. Make sure that the leave completely cover the bottom of the bowl. Then simply place your white and brown hard boiled eggs on top of the lettuce leaves.

If you are coloring your eggs, then first place the green fern leaves into the bottom of your large white bowl, you could also use lettuce leaves if you wish for the colored eggs, it is up to you. Next, hard boil your eggs and color them, like you would Easter eggs. Finally, once the eggs have dried, you can place them on top of the fern or lettuce leaves in the bowl for serving.

Your guests will think this centerpiece is beautiful for your breakfast table and will also be able to eat the hard boiled eggs with their breakfast or brunch.
