Christmas is the time for fun, frolic and a lot of creativity. Simple things can beautify the regular tree. A little bit of innovation makes our tree look different and interesting than the rest. How about making your tree look edible? Is your mouth watering at the thought? The kids would simply love this experiment too.

For the plan, you would need some sheets of white paper, scissors, gold lace, a double sized tape, a blue and a green feather, paper glue, 10 inch gold cord, 6 inch colored organdy ribbon of oyur favorite color and a compass.

Cut a square 5 inch by 5 inch from a sheet of firm white paper. Palce the point of a compass at one corner of the square and draw a quarter circle with a radius of 5 inch, joining the adjacent corners. Cut it out.

Now roll the quarter circle of paper into a cone shape and secure the straight edges with a double sided tape. Cut a 4 cm strip from a paper doily to fit around the top of the cone. Stick the strip to the cone with double-sided tape so that its lacy border protudes about one-fourth inch above the edge.

Stick the double sided tape along one edge of the colored organdy ribbon and attach it just below the doily. Trim to fit at the back. Glue the gold lace along the seam between the ribbon and doily, tucking a blue and a green feather underneath.

Make a small hole on either side of the cone and thread through the gold cord for hanging. To speed up the marking and cutting of the cones, cut out all the paper squares first and makr the quarter circle on one of them. Place one or more squares neatly underneath it and cut the curved edges of them all at once.

This gives your tree and elegant green, gold and white theme this Christmas with these dainty paper cones trimmed with ribbon, lace and a pretty doily. Perfect for popping in some popcorn or light weight candies for the kids as a surprise.
