Click on a folder or album in the left panel of your program. Then click the thumbnail of the photo that you want to edit. There are a few ways to edit the photo. You can right click on the photo and click View and Edit. You can also click the thumbnail and click Picture > View and Edit. You can double click a thumbnail to open the edit window also. You can do it anyway that you want. Whatever is more convenient for you.
In your edit window you have many different options. We will take a look at the Basic section first. Click the Basic Fixes tab. In this section you have your crop tool, straighten tool, redeye tool, color tool, and contrast tool.
To crop the photo, click the Crop button. You can select a preset size or you can select the manual field and use your mouse to crop the photo. To use the manual crop, simply drag your mouse over the part that you want to keep. Then click the Apply button on the left. To use the preset size, tick the field that you want to use and click the Apply button.
To straighten your photo, click the Straighten button. At the bottom of your photo you will see a bar. Move that bar to straighten your photo. Click the Apply button to apply the changes.
To fix redeye problems, click the Redeye button. Then use your mouse to draw over the red eye. Click the Apply button to fix it. Do the same for the other eye.
Just click the Auto Color and Auto Contrast buttons to use them. There are no settings to adjust. Clicking the button will automatically adjust the photos.
Now we will look at the Tuning section. Click the Tuning tab in your window. In this section you can adjust the lights and shadows. Move the bars around to get the look that you are going for. This will differ with each photo.
The last section is the effects section. Click the Effect tab to see the different effects that you can apply to your photo. In this section you will see the different effects. To apply an effect, simply double click the effect. Some of the effects have settings that you can adjust. Adjust the settings and click Apply or OK.
To edit an entire folder or album, click on it. Then go to the top of your program and click Picture > Batch Edit > and select what you want to do. You can rotate the photos, sharpen the photos, convert them to black and white, and more.
