There are three types of testimonials: professional testimonials, which are done mostly by paid actors and celebrities, service testimonials, which are testimonials that provide potential customers with information on the benefits of services being offered by a company, and product testimonials, which are testimonials that give potential customers

information about a product. These days consumers are hard to convince on things that they may need. It gives them assurance that particular product or service is one that they will benefit from.

Advertising can be a huge discretionary cost for most businesses. Unlike traditional advertising campaigns, which use billboards, slogans, and prints video testimonials are very cost effective. There is no need to use celebrities are actors as spokespersons. It is very expensive and takes credibility away from the product or service offered. Customers are more likely to support a product or service featured in video testimonials if actors are not involved because they would rather see real people that they can relate to; this gives testimonials authenticity. Video testimonials are very reliable; they can increase a company's credibility and sales. They are helpful in minimizing customer skepticism. They also can be used to maintain loyalty with the customers who are already clients of the company. Video testimonials can also increase the levels of customer retention. These days' buyers are cautious when dealing with new companies that they have never heard of. Their buying decisions are very difficult because in the past they may have experienced a betrayal of trust from previous forms of advertising. Overall, there are no production time constraints on video testimonials. They can be used over and over for many years.

Video testimonials can be uploaded to the company's website; this will also increase internet traffic. There are several sites that can be used to promote video testimonials such as youtube, facebook, skype, and twitter. One simple but highly effective marketing tool will be to get satisfied customers to appear in video testimonials. Customer's can be offered extrinsic rewards for their participation in video testimonials.

The world has gone viral. Videos are used in many daily operations. They can be used to enhance in area of commerce. Videos can be a very effective tool in creating consumer interest if a business's products and services are properly incorporated in them. Although video testimonials should be very concise, yet the content they contain must be able to maintain customers' interest.
