Easy Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe Included

Barbie Crafts
The best part of Chinese take-out is always the egg rolls, but the problem is that there are never enough to go around. Who wants just one egg roll? Here is a quick and easy egg roll recipe you can make at home. It only uses four ingredients. It makes 20 egg rolls, so you can eat as many as you want. You will probably still have some leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

Ingredients:

Egg rolls

Won Ton Wraps (package of 20)
1 Large frozen boneless chicken breast
One package of Cole Slaw Mix
Soy Sauce to taste

Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ketchup: 3 tablespoons
Strawberry preserves or spread without large strawberry pieces: 1 Tablespoon

Instructions:

1. Cook the chicken breast in a little water and some soy sauce.

2. Flake the chicken, and return it to the pot.

3. Add the Cole Slaw Mix to the pot, stirring over low heat.

4. Add a few more splashes of soy sauce so there is enough liquid to well coat the mixture.

5. Continue to cook until the cabbage is only a little wilted.

6. Place a small amount in the center of each won ton wrap. Fold corners in to wrap an egg roll, sealing edges with a little water.

7. Fry the egg rolls in around ΒΌ inch of hot oil. You can also use a deep fat fryer, if you wish.

8. Be sure you do not add the egg rolls to the oil until it is hot or they will be soggy.

You can serve these with additional soy sauce, or use this quick and easy recipe for sweet and sour sauce. It is similar to what you may get at your favorite Chinese restaurant.

Mix the ketchup and strawberry spread well. This is three parts of ketchup to one part strawberry preserves.
