Store-bought eggnog just won't do. Begin with "The Best Ever Eggnog" recipe. After you've filled your shaker with ice combine:
2 parts Best Ever Eggnog
1 part vodka (Tito's handmade vodka is my personal favorite)
Shake, then pour into chilled martini glass.
If you aren't a hard-core martini fan and prefer a drink that is a bit more delicate in flavor then just alter the above drink recipe:
1 part Best Ever Eggnog
1 part vodka
1 part milk/heavy cream
Shake, then pour into chilled martini glass.
For a final touch garnish drink with the slightest dusting of freshly grated nutmeg.
Enjoy!
Tip: The way to properly chill a martini glass is to first fill the glass with ice cubes then water. Let it sit for a few moments while you are mixing the martinis. Dump the ice cubes and water into the sink before filling the glass with eggnog martinis.
Happy Holidays to all.
