As you probably know by now Lice are really a big problem. Those tiny insects that grow in your hair or in your son or daughter hair are really a big issue. Pesticides come in many commercial names to kill lice but pesticides are a dangerous business. They are usually carcinogenic and in high concentrations really toxic.

Eliminating lice from your hair or your family members hair is really a time-consuming effort. Aside of pesticides that kill lice, the most effective way to remove lice is by using a lice comb.

There is a National Pediculosis Association that recommends The LiceMeister Comb for effective lice removal. However, any good lice comb will do the job. The thing about the lice comb is that with Patience is possible a 100% lice and lice eggs removal. By the way, you know how contagious are lice so once you have a ;ice infestation at home you need to threat every family member.

Here is how to to use a lice comb:

Lice comb need to "comb" all the hair for effective lice and egg removal. Patience is needed. It is not an easy task especially with kids who want to go and run the other way. Start at the scalp and run the lice comb through the end of the hair. Long hairs will require more time than short hair. Once the comb has been run it needs cleaning, usually by deepen it on cold water to remove lice and eggs from the comb. Repeat the process until you have combed all the hair. You need to be methodical so you do not leave any area of the head uncombed.

Leaving only one egg spell disaster.

Re-infestations are possible once lice have been eliminated from hair. Re infestation need to be prevented. Where does this re infestation come? From another person, from carpets and upholstery (yes, eggs survive in carpets). Carpets and upholstery need to be constantly cleaned and vacuumed to eliminate "seeds"f or future lice re-infestations. Also, linens and clothes need to be cleaned properly. Hair brushes and specially the lice comb need to be cleaned from eggs to avoid re-infestation. Pay attention to your car. You may have cleaned your home and be free of eggs but then somebody can hop to your car and leave there some lice eggs. Bam! Possible re-infestation.
