All across the United States there are millions of immigrants that need your help. These brave people have left their home countries to live their dreams of freedom and prosperity in the United States. Most of these hard working people do not speak English and need to enroll in ESL / EFL classes. You can get ESL / EFL experience by helping them. Not only does teaching ESL / EFL help these immigrants, ESL / EFL helps your community and our country but helping these new citizens become productive members of our society. Teaching ESL / EFL enables immigrants to obtain jobs, participate in daily activities and assist their children with their schoolwork.
The easiest way you can get ESL / EFL teaching experience is by doing volunteer work. If you are affiliated with any religious organization this is a great place to start as there are probably members of your religious community who are immigrants and need your help learning English. If you are not affiliated with a religious organization, and many of us are not, you can look online to find immigrant services in your local community to find opportunities to gain ESL / EFL teaching experience. Simply call the telephone numbers provided and let them know you want to volunteer to teach ESL / EFL. They should be able to put you in touch with a volunteer co-coordinator who can help you reach your goals.
Another way to get ESL / EFL teaching experience is to go overseas to teach ESL / EFL. Countries like China and South Korea have an enormous amount of jobs at universities, schools and English academies teaching ESL / EFL and they do not have enough people to fill these positions. Jobs in South Korea require a college diploma but many in China only require a high school diploma. You can gain ESL / EFL teaching experience and broaden your horizons by experiencing a new culture. These jobs provide you with a free apartment, health insurance and assistance with your airplane ticket. It's easy find jobs teaching English in China, simply input "teach English in China" into your favorite search engine and you will be amazed at the opportunities that await you.
It's so easy to get ESL / EFL teaching experience. Don't put it off, get started on your new career at home or abroad today.
