In most of the cases people make policies but don't follow them because they don't remember them. So you should make sure that you keep reminding all the employees about the objectives, guidelines and the policies. People should see it every where starting from the notice board, manuals to business newsletters. You should also remind the suppliers and the customers about your quality management policies.
Educate Your Employees
Quality management is not something easy and for that your base has to be strong. The employees are the strength of your company. While hiring them make sure that they are well educated. Arrange training programs for all starting from the managers to the cleaner. Everyone should feel that they are a part of your organization. If the employees are satisfied the output will be good automatically.
Measure Quality
For continuous enhancement of quality you should use tools to measure quality regularly. Go for Total Quality Management Tools like checklist, Gantt charts, flow charts etc. You can also apply statistical techniques. Follow the industry and national or international standards to examine quality.
Make Your Product/Service Error Free
A simple mistake can lead to many corresponding errors and huge loss. The effect will not only cause you monetary loss but can also spoil your brand image. So try to be serious with every single aspect of your business. Make all your products and services error free.
Stop Wastage
Every business has a certain wastage rate. Measure it and try to reduce it. Check the factories and the stores. See how many goods are defective. Even if the salesman convince customers to buy your product they will return it if it is defective. Go for zero defect policy. Make the quality and design better than ever.
Implement the Recommendations
You have a number of plans but putting them into action is very important. The managers waste their time in meetings, seminars and conferences. They recommend various solutions. Implement those recommendations through short term and long term activities.
Create Customer Delight
Your business is mainly dependent on the customers. If you can create customer delight they will keep coming back to you. Be more focused on your target audience. Who they are? What is their age group, gender, shopping habits, financial background? Try to know the customers' need and improve your business accordingly.
When you have a good business you not only get potential customers but also good employees. When people will go for job search they will look for your name. When customers will think of a brand they will think of your name. Just follow these tips and see the magic.
