The first thing you need to do is get a really good piece of meat, a strip or fillet or something like that. Turn your grill on as hot as it will go and let it heat up very hot. Get your steaks out and put a little salt and pepper on them, next get a stick of real butter and melt it in the microwave. When your grill is extremely hot, put the steaks on and keep the temp up. Spread some butter on the top and sear for about 2 minutes, maybe a little less if necessary. A good way to tell if the searing is done is to try and move the steak, if it moves without sticking you are ready to flip. Do the same thing to the other side and spread butter on that side. Once the steaks are seared turn the heat down and let the steaks cook for approximately 6-8 minutes on each side. If you want you can flip numerous times spreading the melted butter over and over.
I know this may sound like a bad idea but trust me when you try it you will never do it any other way, unless you like to do the marinade thing (which I do). I usually use up the entire stick of butter for two steaks, and if there is any left over I usually dip my steak in it while I'm eating. It sounds gross, and maybe it is, but it is worth it. If you have a wife or girlfriend who would absolutely not go for this, just don't tell them, once they try it they won't care how you made it they will just ask for more. Don't take my word for it, try it, you will love it.
