I have even seen people who have very little money go to work for a month only to spend all of their paycheck on an Ipod player so that their peers would perceive them as having a lot of money. They want to be like the people that they wish to keep around them so they spend the money on the player without being able to afford it. My cousin was in this situation and I asked her not to buy the product, in exchange I promised her that I would make her an Ipod dummy item that would fool her friends. A dummy is a product, which looks like the actual product but does not actually work. You can do this by using the following steps:
Find a piece of cardboard which is six inches long, if you do not have one in the house then you may be able to find one outside of a garbage canister or you could buy the piece from a storage place for $2.
Once you measure 6 inches of cardboard you will want to draw a rectangle, which is similar in size and shape to the Ipod that you would like to recreate. For my cousin I drew the Ipod Touch. You will need to draw this three times on different locations of the cardboard and cut them out.
Put on piece on top and stack it on top of the other two pieces that you have cut out which will add thickness to the cutout. When you have them lines up properly you should glue the pieces together for thickness.
You will need to print out a full size image of the Ipod on the front and back and glue these images to the cardboard to create the exterior of the phone. I used these images front image and back image but you can use any that look good.

What is wrong with you? I'm sorry but I can just imagine (you didn't post pics, I wonder why :P) how bad that thing looks. What about the sides! And anyway won't your cousin's freinds want to check it out? How will that work? did you know that you can buy a "fake" ipod touch from China on ebay for 50$. And the "fake" ipod touch acutally works like a decent mp4 player and looks just like the real deal! That... THING, that you spent 10 miniutes on makeing dosen't even work and defenetly won't fool anyone! You @$$ .
I was wondering how you got the sides to not be cardboard?
