So what does that mean for people who don't have MySpace profiles with hundreds or even thousands of friends? How do you go from being the odd man out to being the King or Queen of MySpace?
You could turn to an outside source, like the new website called Fake Your Space that hopes to be just what those friendless, unpopular MySpace users need.
Fake Your Space literally lets you "buy" friends on any social networking site like MySpace, Friendster or Facebook. For the same price as a hot new ringtone (99 cents), you can handpick a MySpace hottie to be added as your friend and have that hottie leave you 8 comments a month (2 per week).
The premise of Fake Your Space is that when people see that you have a MySpace hottie/model leaving you MySpace comments on a regular basis, that this will boost your popularity with um, real MySpace users. They also claim their service works wonders if you're trying to make your ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend jealous.
Fake Your Space is set to re-launch on March 1, 2007. Since I missed the original launch of this site, I couldn't tell you for sure if this service would actually work the way they claim it would. But if it sounds like something you might want to do, I have a better suggestion - save your 99 cents and create your own fake MySpace profile using my step-by-step tutorial.
How To Create a Fake MySpace Profile
1) Create a new email with Yahoo, MSN or Gmail.
2) Use this email to create a new account on MySpace.
3) Find a pic (or better yet a set of pics) online that you can use on your new MySpace profile. If you don't know where to find pics try online dating services or stock photo sites. Some people prefer using Google Images - just do a search for model, hot girl, bikini model or some variation of those terms to find the hottest pics.
4) Upload those pics to your fake MySpace profile.
5) Fill out all fields of your fake MySpace profile remembering to keep it real (no pun intended). One note here - be sure to change the "Children" field to read something besides "I Don't Want Kids". That's always a dead giveaway that a MySpace profile is a fake.
6) Add yourself as a friend to that new fake MySpace profile and comment your real MySpace profile as often as you like.
And there you go -- it takes all of 5-10 minutes max to create a fake MySpace profile and maybe a little extra to pimp it out with a hot MySpace layout and some MySpace glitters. The best part is you can now use the 99 cents you saved and buy yourself another Panic! At the Disco ringtone. So it's a win/win situation for everybody. Enjoy!

People who need fake friends/1000+ friends on myspace/facebook = A bunch of losers with no social life.
Unless your a music artist promoting your material or someone selling/promoting a product, wtf do you need that many "friends" for? If you're another Joe Schmoe or Jane Doe and you have a crazy number of friends like that, then you're just an attention-seeking nobody trying to make yourself look important. Last I checked, nobody gets paid for the amount of friends they have so being an online social networking celeb is pointless.
But I guess people no longer know how to interact with people in real life and would rather live behind a computer. Just jump off a bridge and end your miserable lives ya stupid f*cks.
This is genius and pathetic at the same time. If you are willing to keep up on having fake friends on Myspace, power to you. Seriously. It's probably not the easiest thing in the world since you would have to remember each ones email and password.
It's also pathetic because..well...some of your real friends might start to wonder why they've never met this "super hot" friend that is always commenting you. Good luck to those who need to do this.
not unless you hide that profile's friends you douche.
okay what bam said was right but they will also see that you Just started myspace if you just pimp it out when you first get it and make some real friends then people wont think its fake you dumbass ...bam
