Baking
Believe it or not, there are many people out there who would rather have someone else do their baking for them during the holidays. It is traditional in many families to bake a variety of Christmas cookies during the holiday season. For those who bake, you know how each cookie recipe needs its own special touch, and you also know that it can be a tedious and lengthy task to bake a variety of cookies. Why not put your baking skills to use and sell your products? Send some of your baking samples (maybe a 5 cookie sampler) around to parties or friends and relatives work places. Attach business cards to the samplers to advertise your products. Sending whole platters to work places is also a good way to have people test your cookies. You can even go as far as having a price list and menus for orders. You may be surprised at the amount of money you can make baking. Each year, as well, you should see this side job growing with more customers. You can even expand and create different kinds of candies, homemade candy apples, or dipped chocolates. The possibilities are endless and buying Christmas gifts will be less of a burden.
Internet Gigs
There are numerous opportunities to make a quick buck on the Internet to score some extra cash for Christmas. One of the obvious opportunities is writing for paying companies such as Associated Content. You will usually receive payments within a week or so of submitting your content. Set goals to write a certain amount of articles per day and start collecting the cash.
Along with writing, there are also many sites out there that will pay you to do surveys or that will pay you to click on ads. These sites are known as GPT sites or paid to click sites. Many have adopted new policies which enables them to make daily payouts to their members. Although you won't make a living from these types of sites, the five dollars here and there can add up.
Lastly, check popular sites such as Craigslist or online local papers for odd jobs. Many times, research companies will list focus groups in the classified sections or you may find people who need services which you can perform for cash. Ebay or Amazon are two other options for someone to make a little extra cash before the holidays. Everyone has something they don't want or need anymore. Find those things around the house that do nothing but collect dust and try and make a quick buck from them. Ebay recently announced that members get a few free listings each month, which is a bonus.
With a little creativity, research, and motivation, anyone can make a little extra cash for the holidays. It is important to find something that is interesting for you, and something that is worth your time. Whether it be baking or surfing the net, make every penny count this holiday.
