Dark Circle Make Up

The key to a gorgeous face is not expensive cosmetics, complicated make up regimens, or cluttering your bathroom counter with bottles and tubes. It is all about using the right products in the right places to enhance your own unique, natural beauty.

I know what you are thinking now: Sounds simple, but how do I know what is right and where to put it? The key to a great look is learning how to enhance your best features with sheer washes of color rather than hiding under layers of artificial-looking makeup.

Here, I would like to focus on the most essential part of our face, the eyes. The dark circles are a nightmare for any woman, girl or teen, especially when you need to go out on a party, dinner or a social. A few simple tips can help us to take care of the dark circles in as little as five minutes.

For extremely dark under-eye circles, you could take a little blemish concealer and a little under-eye concealer. Mix them both and apply it for maximum coverage of the dark circles.

We all get blemishes from time to time, and a lot of us have more permanent imperfections we would like to hide. With the right concealer, your complextion will look flawless.

The best formula would be to use a creamy stick or a pot concealer that works with perfection. It should be a little thicker than your regular foundation or else, it will slide off permanently. For those who wish hide the acne, they should choose a concealer that has pimple-fighting salicylic acid in it.

Selecting the best shade is an important factor while looking for a concealer. The concealer should match the color of your foundation, since the goal is for it to disappear onto your skin. Avoid concealers with green, yellow or lavender colors, they never look good.

Powder is an essential too as it has two important jobs to do: eliminating the shine and 'set' the foundation and concealer so it stays on for a longer time. The best formula here would be not to buy heavily colored powder. It adds an extra layer of pigment tat is not needed and the skin looks too cakey.

Instead, try using translucent powder. Though it may look like having a nude tint in the package, it appears colorless when applied to the skin. Go for a test in the store before buying one of them. Compact powders are the best as they can be applied using a brush or a puff and are easy to carry along. Loose powders are harder to control.

For the perfect fast fix of dark circles, use a thin concealer brush and sweep on a little under eye concealer from the outside of your lower lash line to the end of your brow and blend. This area gets highlighted and visually 'lifts' the eye. It works great too.

Finally, blotting papers are another perfect accessory. These tiny squares of paper mop up excess oil without removing your make up. They perfectly control the shine throughout the day. However, avoid the papers with powder in them as they can leave you looking dry.

For the coming winter months, these tips should help you look 'eye-perfect' throughout the day.
