Try keeping yourself busy. A body in motion stays in motion. Once you start laying around and sucumbing to the feelings of fatigue or tiredness, your body will want to stay that way. Get up and exercise, take a walk or go to the park. Keep your body moving and it will keep you feeling more energized.
Sometimes you feel tired because you didn't get enough sleep. There are many things that can affect your sleep a night. Try going to bed and waking up at the same time every night so that your body will have a proper sleep schedule. If you have trouble falling or staying asleep, maybe you could talk to your doctor about ways that you can help yourself get better sleep and wake up feeling rested.
Eat healthy. Some foods that we eat can cause us to feel sluggish and can even make the symptoms of depression worse. Try to eat a healthy well balanced diet so that your energy levels will increase. Some fruits and vegetables may help to boost your energy.
Drink a good amount of water. Drinking water throughout the day will help to keep your body hydrated. Dehydration could cause you to feel more tired. Water will also flush the toxins out of your body and make you feel better and more alert.
Try to get a little sunshine. Even just 10-15 minutes of sunshine might help to improve your mood and make you feel a little more energized. Did you ever notice on dark, rainy days that you sometimes feel down or have less motivation to do things? Add a little sunshine to your life, but don't overdo it!
Do things that you enjoy doing. Do things that will bring some excitement into your life. Go to an amusement park for the day and feel the thrill and energy rush you can get from the amusement rides. Go swimming or play tennis. Do something active that makes you happy. It will increase your energy level and improve your mood.
Listen to dance music or fast music. Listen to some songs that have fast beats. Some songs can make you feel more energized. The music can get you pumped up to do other things, such as exercise or go out for a night of dancing.
Sometimes boredom can cause tiredness and low energy levels. Keep yourself occupied. Find things to do when you are bored such as sing, dance, visit someone, play a sport, go out somewhere! Don't just sit around feeling bored and tired, do something! Getting up and doing something will make you feel more energized. Don't have the motivation? Would you rather stare at your wall for a few hours thinking about how bored you are or would you rather be doing something that gives you more energy and makes you feel better? It may be hard to pull yourself out of that slump, but once you do it, you'll start feeling your energy levels rise.
