How to Find the Answer to Any Question You Have

Sarah Holmes
Have you ever had a question you were dying to ask? How about a question that was too personal, or private that you didn't want to ask a friend but you needed the answer too? There is an online resource that is great for all sorts of questions. There are too many topics that the website covers to mention them all in one article. However some of the common topics you can receive answers to are: financial questions, business questions and relational questions.

Finding Answers to All Your Questions

The website is called Yahoo Answers and it is located at Answers.Yahoo.com. When I first visited Yahoo Answers, I was unsure about the practicality of the website. There are many teenagers who use it to advice one another about relationships etc and their advice to one another is not very wise. However after answering questions for others and coming up with my own, I have found Yahoo Answers to be a great resource. An important question I have is often answered within minutes of when I post it and it is more targeted to my specific question and need then if I did a web search on the same topic.

How to Sign Up to Use Yahoo Answers

In order to use Yahoo Answers, you will first need to sign up for a Yahoo Account. First go to www.yahoo.com and sign up like you are creating an email address. This will be your passport to using Yahoo Answers.

How to Use Yahoo Answers

After you have signed up for an account, you will need to answer a few questions in order to gain enough points to ask questions. Simply click on the Answer tab at the top of the page and log in. You will then be able to navigate to any category that you would like to answer questions about. If you would prefer to answer questions about a specific topic, you can use the Advanced Search tab instead and search for the topic (select Open Questions in the combo box. Once you have answered a few questions for others, you will now be able to ask your own questions.

Ask Your Questions

Asking questions costs you points within the Yahoo system. It appears that the sole purpose of these points is simply to allow you to ask questions. The higher your point level, the more questions you are allowed to ask in a day. If you have a lot of questions you want to post at once, I recommend visiting answers.yahoo.com right before midnight. Then you can ask your day's allotment right before midnight and you will get more points after midnight that you can use for another day's worth of questions. So if your daily limit is 5 questions, you will now be able to answer 10 questions within a single web session.

When you ask questions, be sure to clearly state the question in simple terms. Then you can add details if you want. The more simple your question is, the better the answer you will receive. I highly recommending asking any questions you want. Are you concerned that someone who is under 18 will answer your question? I think this question is an unnecessary concern & perhaps there are some high school students that have experience in the area you need help in and can give you valid advice. You will also be able to tell the people who take their responses seriously and those who don't. As with anything, don't use this as your only resource to seek advice and answers to your questions. Also, do a few web searches to validate any advice and information you receive on this website. This is simply a tool that you can use.
