How to Find Bakugan Battle Brawlers, the Hottest Toy for the 2008 Holiday Season

Angie
If you have a child under the age of 12, then you have probably heard about Bakugan. Every year there is always one toy that is THE toy that all the kids want and all the parents dread trying to get. Christmas 2008 happens to be the year of the Bakugan. This little guide will help assure your child gets their wish from santa and you get the toys without spending more than necessary.

The first step is to make a list of the stores in your surrounding area and their phone numbers. For example, in our area there is Toys R US, Kay Bee Toys, Walmart, Target and Kmart. All of these stores have carried Bakugan and there are multiple stores within driving distance. Next you want to call each store EVERY DAY and ask to speak with someon in "toys". Then just ask the associate if they have any Bakugan in stock. They will know what your referring to. Since it is the holiday season, all of these stores are getting shipments in everyday so the chances are good that they will have some when you call. Persistance is key and this is the best way to find them. Target has been the best for me. I have found them in on a monday ( 4 starters left when i got there ) and then right after on a wednesday they had a TON in.

The next best way to find Bakugan toys in at online stores. Goto each of the above stores online. It is harder to find them in stock online but they all carry them and you dont even have to leave your home to purchase them if you happen to find them in stock. I know www.target.com even has a service where you can sign up and they will email you as soon as the items are in stock. This will make it very easy to purchase them online, assuming they get them back in stock in time. I would stay away from other online stores as they are mostly third party stores that have increased the prices alot.

The final way to get the Bakuman Battle Brawlers is through Ebay. I dont really recommend Ebay as probably 99% of what is on their is overpriced from everyone trying to make a buck but occasionally you can find a deal. Its very hard and rarely happens though.

Below I will list the major items and their general pricing so you will know if your getting a deal or not.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Starter Pack - $10-$11 - these are the basic packs and come with 3 bakugan balls/marbles plus 3 ability cards and 3 metal gate cards.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Booster - $5 - These packs contain just 1 bakugan with 1 of each card type.

Bakutin - $20 - This is a very nice metal tin that is basically a storage tin. It comes with 2 exclusive bakugan and 5 of each card. The tin has a spot to hold up to 50 cards and 2 trays that hold a total of 18 bakugan. The tins come in 6 different colors and each color cmes with different exclusive bakugan. There are red, green, black, silver, gold and blue.

Bakubelt - $15-$16 - The bakubelt includes an adjustable belt, a bakuclip which holds 3 bakugan and attaches to the belt, plus this item is exclusively sold ONLY at Toys R Us and it includes 2 exclusive bakugan that can only be found in this set and 2 of each card type.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Battle Pack - $20? - The battle pack contains 6 bakugan and 6 of each card. I have Yet to see any of these in stock anywhere other than on ebay at inflated prices. I would imagine that these would be about $20 since they are basically like 2 starter packs and those would be about $20 for 2.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers Arena Mega Pack - $50? - This mega pack comes with the tournament battle arena plus 6 bakugan and 6 of each card type. I have yet to see any of these in stock anywhere other than ebay at inflated prices. I do know the battle arena is approx $30 and to get 6 bakugan via 2 starters or one battle pack would be about $20 so $50 is a good estimate of retail for this mega pack.

Bakumat Battle Pack - $35-$40? - This pack includes the bakumat travel arena mat as well as 6 bakugan and 6 of each card type. I have yet to see any of these in stock anywhere other than ebay. The bakumat is approx $15-20 and as stated above 6 bakugan average bout $20 making my estimated retail for this to be about $35-$40.

That is all of the products that include bakugan balls/marbles. There are more products available such as card booster packs and launchers. Be careful with the launchers as the new bakugan B2 ersions that are new in the stores now will not work with at least one fo the launchers maybe both.

So there you have it. A simple little guide to help you find this years hottest toy and a retail price guide to help you save as much money as possible if you have to purchase them from ebay. For more information on the bakugan toys or show visit www.bakugan.com.
