Many people swear by Newegg.com. However, I find Newegg.com to be a little pricey at times. Some people like to order from Tigerdirect.com. I did find that Tigerdirect.com has a good selection and many times a very good price. The only problem with Tigerdirect.com is they stay with only a few product lines.
Another good source for finding good deals is Geeks.com. I find they have some very good prices on some components. What you find with all these sources is some will be good for some things but not others.
So how do you find the best price for what your looking for? I recommend using Pricewatch.com. What Pricewatch.com is a search tool that incorporates many many vendors for any computer component you want to purchase. From motherboards to mice and keyboards. Pricewatch.com is also a good source for electronic items too.
How to use Pricewatch.com
If you go to Pricewatch.com you will find all the components listed and categorized. If you was looking for motherboards for example they are listed as motherboards and motherboard/CPU combos. They are also listed with combos with memory. You can also just purchase the CPU. Once you find the category your looking for you just click to open it. When you open motherboard/CPU combos for example you will see a bunch of prices with descriptions.
The price is starting price for that type of motherboard/CPU combo. For this example I clicked on the Pentium 4 3.2ghz 800 CPU fan. This will open to a page where a picture, description of the item and vendor is listed. The vendors web page is there so you can check them out and the terms. Also listed is the price and shipping costs.
As you scroll down the page other vendors are listed with prices, descriptions, and shipping costs. A lot of times the same vendor is listed its just the item is an upgrade or step up from the original you looked at.
You can find almost anything your looking for using Pricewatch.com and you don't have to search hundreds of websites and vendors. Another good thing I like is Pricewatch.com tells you long a vendor has been with them and you can trust that they do everything they say they will. So you can shop with confidence knowing you will get the best deal and be a happy customer.
Pricewatch.com makes it easy to shop for any computer part you are looking for. Whether your replacing an item or upgrading you can trust Pricewatch.com for all your computer needs.
