How to Find the Best Coupons for Black Friday and Cyber Monday

I love shopping for bargains and saving money, especially during the holiday season. I will sit at my kitchen table drinking a hot cup of tea while scouring the Sunday newspaper advertisement inserts in search of valuable coupons to use for my holiday purchases. Two to three weeks before Black Friday arrives, stores are already advertising their Black Friday specials, giving little hints of what a shopper might expect to find on the busiest shopping day of the year. After I have exhausted my search of the newspaper inserts, I go on-line to see what bargains are going to be available from my favorite retailers for Cyber Monday and if they are going to be offering free shipping.

Before I venture out to the crowded shopping malls on Black Friday, make sure I have my gift list ready and my coupons clipped. I make sure I read the front and back of the coupons carefully for any additional requirements. I do not want to get to the checkout only to find that my coupons are no good because they had some stipulation that I overlooked. Some stores will limit the times a coupon can be redeemed such as between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. If there are limits, I know to anticipate long lines, so I try to get there early. Many on-line retailers will also have hourly bargains with a limited amount of the item in stock. I make purchases at the top of the hour so that orders will be processed right away and the items will not be put on back order.

Before Black Friday and Cyber Monday roll around, I make sure I am registered on-line with my favorite retailers in order to receive newsletters, fliers, special coupons, discounts, and sneak peeks to upcoming shopping events. If emails or fliers start overflowing my mailbox, I simply unsubscribe from them when the holiday season is over.

This year, many retailers are offing huge savings for both Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers, with even bigger bargains for registered member on their website. Some bargains I have already found include:

A $10.00 off coupon on $25.00 or more purchase at Macy's, with an extra 15% or 10% off Macy's when I use my Macy's card or pass.

JC Penney is offering a coupon of $15.00 off a $75.00 or more and $10.00 off a $50.00 or more purchase in store or on-line with a promo code of Goodtogo.

Kohl's offer includes a $15.00 cash coupon off every $50.00 purchase.

Amazon has Black Friday on-line deals each day for a whole week starting Nov. 22.

Both Barns and Noble and Amazon have free shipping for orders totaling $25.00 or more. If you belong to Amazon Prime, you can get free shipping on any item as long as it is an Amazon Prime item.

Walmart has free shipping with no minimum order required, now until Dec. 20, on all electronics and thousands of other items

Craft Warehouse offers a coupon for 40% off one regular item from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Black Friday.

Sears has a coupon for $10.00 off $50.00 or more on apparel, accessories, and intimate apparel from 4:00 a.m. to noon on Black Friday.

Target is giving away $10.00 gift card with a $100.00 or more purchase

Michael's is offering 30% off and entire purchase including sale items and 50% off 1 regular priced item.
