How to Find Cheap Airline Tickets

Fischer Sharpe
Every day thousands of people search the internet for cheap flights. These cheap airfare searchers use all sorts of resources, and receive an equal variety of results. The two most important factors in determining success (symbolized by the so-called "cheap fair") are the location and the destination. Not much can be done to change these two variables, but there are still a number of ways you can get a cheaper fair.

If you are flying within Europe (read: from Europe to Europe) then your in luck. There are a variety of European discount airlines that offer extremely discounted airfair (15 dollars round trip). O' Ryan airlines, German wings, and Jet blue are just the first few that come to mind. These airlines offer extremely economic seats by removing all of the frills and gimmicks of travel. They then try to make up the money by selling very expensive in-flight items to customers. Surprisingly, this business has proved to be quite successful.

If you are not looking to fly within Europe, your first stop should probably be www.kayak.com. This site will search through most of the internet sites selling tickets and show an organized list of the prices, companies, and levels of flight. This service makes it very, very easy to find the cheapest possible way of flying from one place to another. At this point it should be noted that most of the cheap flights are "pre-purchased" by airlines meaning that getting a refund will be near impossible in most cases.

If the airfare price you find is still too expensive, then it may be worth your while to do some research into courier airfare deals. Flying courier would mean flying without luggage, but it would also mean flying at an extremely discounted rate. The courier companies then arrange to use your luggage allowance to ship time sensitive documents between major ports. You probably won't have to worry about that getting the documents from one person to another, and in most cases the courier company handles it. Flying with airline tickets through a courier company can often save a bundle of money, but tickets are often only available from major airports to major airports with little prior notice.

If none of these options have appealed to you in your search for affordable airline tickets then it is probably a good idea to find a travel agent to plan your trip for you or an alternate means of transportation.
