The holiday season is filled with expenses and social gatherings. You may be wondering how you will possibly be able to find quality gifts for everyone your list. From co workers to extended family members and your close loved ones you will have to check your list twice before shopping. Here are some quick tips to help you find cheap stocking stuffers.

Christmas List

Create a Christmas list, based on what you already have. What do you already have that you can give away? Perhaps there are some nice things in your own gift closet that you can regift. If you are going to regift, be sure that the person receiving the gift is in another circle of friends. For example if your mother in law gave you a nice gift that you chose not to open, gift this to someone from your work place. You may have some nice home accessories that you do not use, these could be regifted to a family member who just moved into a new place. Be creative with nice things that you are not using in your home.

Determine how much money you are going to spend this year for Christmas gifts. Set a budget for all areas of your life. This could be your church, club, school, neighbors, friends, and family. If your budget is extremely limited, only buy gifts for your immediate family. Opt out of gift exchanges when at all possible.

Once you know how much you can spend, start shopping outside of your home. Visit your local Goodwill stores. Goodwill has new brand name merchandise from a number of retailers around the holidays. Be sure to check the jewelry, belts, shoes, clothes, electronics, and sale items. Contact local thrift stores to see where you can find their coupons. Many free or paid newspapers contain valuable coupons specifically for Christmas. Your goal at the thrift stores is to located new or items in like new condition to add to your stocking stuffers. Any other time of year, this might not be possible.
