How to Find Cigar Friendly Cruise Ships
Here Are the Best of the Best for Cigar Friendly Cruise Ships
However, cruise lines have been imposing stricter smoking policies that have put a damper on many travelers who enjoy the fine life of cigars. A few luxury cruise ships still cater to those adults who enjoy the pleasures of a fine cigar.
Enjoying Your Cigars on Cunard
Cunard's Queen Mary 2, which launched back in 2004, is among the more cigar friendliest of the luxury cruise ships. The Queen Mary 2 features the Churchill Cigar Lounge along with other cigar venues on board. The Churchill Cigar Lounge offers to the cigar smoker customary leather and wood decor. Cigar art is displayed around the room and the lounge features a good-sized built in humidor. A seasoned cigar smoker would find a very nice variety of quality cigars, such as Montecristos and Partagas. Of course, what cigar lounge would be complete without the fine spirits to compliment those cigars. The Commodore Club adjacent to the cigar lounge will provide those drinks.
Enjoying Your Cigars on Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean with its Freedom of the Seas cruise liner is known as a family friendly ship. The Freedom of the Seas after all presents an ice skating rink as well as a wave machine to keep families happy. However, the ship also gives its adults a respite. The Connoisseur Clubs offer a modern decor with a selection of ports and brandies. Cigar offerings of Arturo Fuente, C.A.O., Rocky Patel and Davidoff can be found among their inventory.
Enjoying Your Cigars on Crystal Cruises
Though not as large as the previous mentioned ships, the Crystal Serenity and Symphony from Crystal Cruises Lines are known for their superior service and fine dining. They also have a Connoisseur Club with lavish surroundings including a great selection of Cuban cigars such as Partagas and Punch. They also serve single malts scotches, vintage ports, and brandies to compliment those classic cigars.
Enjoying Your Cigars on Various Other Ships
Some other ships that have favorable cigar smoking policies include the luxurious Silver Sea with their Champagne Room and humidor; Norwegian Cruise lines also offer its passengers its Cigar Bars. Depending on which ship and with which cruise line you are traveling on, cigar policies will vary. Some will allow you to enjoy your cigar in the stateroom, or on the balcony attached. Some will allow cigar smoking in designated areas outside on the deck.
