How to Find, Collect, and Use Four Bottles in Zelda Twilight Princess

Chris Tidwell
Zelda Twilight Princess can be a tough game to get through if you don't have the right equipment, and one such piece of equipment is of course getting the games famous bottle. Bottle have been a part of the Zelda franchise for quite some time and can be used to house such contents like Lantern Oil, Bugs, Fishing Bait, but more important bottles house substances that will replenish your valuable hearts and allow you to keep fighting! But the problem in each Zelda game seems to be where do you find these ever elusive pieces of equipment? Well this guide will show you where to find four of the bottles to be used early on in Zelda Twilight Princess.

You'll receive your first bottle simply by playing through the game. Once you start the game and perform the simple mundane tasks in the Ordon village you'll return the cat to a shop that sells items. For doing this you'll not only have the option of buying a Slingshot, but also of getting some Ordon Milk that comes in the more valuable bottle. Once you drain the milk (That replenishes three hearts per serving) you can fill it with anything you wish.

The second bottle can be obtained much in the same manner as the first, just by playing through the game. You'll obtain the second bottle from the man that sells Lantern Oil near the Forest just North of Ordon. He'll give you the bottle as an "incentive" to buy more of his Lantern Oil, but after using the oil you'll be able to store whatever you wish inside. As a side not, keeping a bottle of Lantern Oil is never a bad idea, so you may consider this guys offer.

The Third Bottle can be found in the fishing hole near Lake Hylaia. Go to the fishing hole and walk around to the left side of the Lake, or the Western Side. Just follow the shore line around and soon you'll come to a small bridge. If you look you'll see a small body of water separate from the fishing hole that's full of small fish. Cast your rod into the center of this area and you'll snag the third bottle. I got this on my first try and by total accident so I don't know if you'll have to try more then once in this spot to get the bottle. I used the regular fishing rod with the Coral Hook, no bait.

The Forth bottle can be obtained by finishing the first part of the Poe Ghost (or Poe Soul) hunt. Once you have completed the first task set aside of killing the first 20 Poe Ghosts and collecting their Poe Souls. After accomplishing this task be sure to visit Castle Town and stop by to see the guy you're supposed to give them too by digging into his home as Wolf Link. After collecting these first 20 Poe Souls you'll be rewarded with a Bottle filled with the Great Fairies Tears. This purple liquid will fill your life gauge to full and temporarily increase your strength, and you still have the fourth bottle.

Bottles will help you tremendously through the entire course of Zelda Twilight Princess. Try and always have some great healing potions with you like Blue Chu Jelly Juice or Great Fairy Tears but also try and keep a fairy or two with you incase you happen not to be able to get a bottle out and drink it in time, the fairy will be able to revive you anyways.
