How to Find Deals on Amazon and How to Get a Price Drop Refund

There are many great deals to be had at Amazon.com this holiday seasons and the bargain hunters are out hot and heavy scooping up all the deals. I will admit it, I became an Amazon troll, surfing for great deals every spare minute I had. I was quite successful in my endeavors. I got bargains galore.

There are many websites where people post the hot deals on the net. However, if you are one of the people who like to find your own deal, here are a few tips that may help you.

Amazon Basics:

1. Search and check often. Prices can change at the drop of a hat.
2. If you see something you want at a great deal, buy it. Chances are that the deal you saw will not be there next time you look.
3. Make sure you take advantage of the free super saver shipping when you can. I did not pay a single cent for shipping this year.
4. Check you orders for the past 30 days often. Amazon will refund the price difference on any purchase you made and the price has dropped. On top of the amazing deals I got, I have had $15.00 refunded for price drops.

How to get a refund on a price drop:

1. Log into your account.
2. Go to the Help section, which is located on the right hand side beside the your account link.
3. Click on Customer Service, this is located in the Contact Us box also on the right hand side.
4. Choose the order and the item you need the refund on.
5. Now choose email or phone.

Personally I always choose email and they are very fast at responding.
1.If you chose email where it says issues choose Returns & Refunds. Then in the comment box put that you are requesting a refund due to a price drop. I always put what the current price is in the box as well.
2. If you choose phone you can call them at the number listed or if you pick the Call Me option, they will call you.

That's it. If you choose the email route they will send an email saying they are requesting your refund. Then you will get another email once you refund is processed.

How to search for Deals on Amazon:

1. Search for the product you want. The more specific you are the less items you will see, but if you may be missing out on other good deals if you are too specific.
2. Once you find an item scroll down the page a bit and you will see the Customer who Bought this item also bought and Customers who viewed this item also viewed sections. If the item you are looking at is a good deal chances are that the customer who bought it before you may have also found other good deals.
3. Check the Todays deals section. You have the Gold Box Deals, the Outlet, Friday Sale, and Deals & bargains to choose from.

These are just some basic tips on how to find good deals on Amazon. But it just like finding a good deal anywhere, don't leave a leaf unturned because you never know what you could find.
