How to Find Free Online Stuffing for Thanksgiving - No Money, No Calories!

Enjoy Free, Guilt-free Treats for Thanksgiving

Michael Segers
After five articles about all kinds of free goodies for Thanksgiving you can find on line, I feel like a turkey farmer, ready to share my products for Thanksgiving, although none of these are turkeys (or fruitcakes). Here is a summary, in case you missed anything about free movies, free music, free old time radio, free books, free audiobooks, and free conference calls for Thanksgiving, which would be appropriate throughout the year. Maybe you can stuff a few of these free treasures into your holiday experience.

"Thanksgiving: Free Movies to Make Thanksgiving Special" - read it

For Halloween, I have a hundred free movies (here). For Thanksgiving, I offer only two, but they are very special. One of these free movies gives us a peek into family life from times gone by in an unusual section of the United States; the other is recognized as a classic of world cinema with what has been called the greatest performance ever seen in a film. These free movies are a long way from the balloons of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, but I am very thankful to be able to see them, free, whenever I want.

"Thanksgiving: Thousands of Pieces of Free Music to Enhance Your Holiday" - read it

For Halloween, I give you fifty free pieces of classical music (here). For Thanksgiving, I have a site that offers thousands of Christian hymns with the stories behind the free songs and the people who wrote them. I also give you a free ticket (actually, just a web page) to an ongoing series of free concert videos, mainly classical, filmed in a building rich in history. Leave the ball games for someone else.

"Thanksgiving: Free Old Time Radio for a World War II Thanksgiving" - read it

The Internet brings many good (and free) things into our lives. It also is an archive for treasures that many of us might have never known about. Finding great classic old time radio programs online is a special thrill. For Halloween, I share some free old time radio programs (here) based on novels and even movies (heard any good movies lately?). For Thanksgiving, I introduce you to a free old time radio series that we could not have heard in the United States, because it was broadcast to United States troops abroad during and after World War II. Maybe if you are very quiet, very engrossed in your radio programs, you won't be called on for dish-washing duties. After all, listening to these free radio programs is educational.

"Thanksgiving: Free Audiobooks and Free Books to Enhance Thanksgiving" - read it

For Halloween, I gave you free books (here) ) and audiobooks (here) on spooky themes. For Thanksgiving, I am pointing you to two sites full of free books and free audio books on spirituality. One is an amazingly thorough library of free Christian books. The other is a library of free books from many different spiritual traditions. I am not trying to convert anyone, just hoping that you will join me in being thankful for all the free goodies we can find online.

"How to Make a Free Conference Call at Thanksgiving - or Any Day" - read it

This article is my special treat for you. All the other freebies I share with you have require a computer and an Internet connection, and you can enjoy them alone, without much connection. Of course, you could download some of these free goodies and give them to friends and family... and you could always share the links to my articles (I could use the page views). But, with the opportunity to reach out and set up a virtual family reunion with a free conference call, for which you do not need a computer, just a telephone, I am doing my part to help you put your family back into a family holiday.

Whether your celebration emphasizes the national or the spiritual side of Thanksgiving or somehow juggles both, whether you will be alone with your computer or in the midst of loved ones, I hope that you will have many things to be thankful for... and if I stuffed one or two items into your experience this year, then I am thankful.
