How to Find Free Wireless Internet in Seattle, Washington

Corey Roberts
Do you have a laptop but lack a wireless connection in your house? If you live in Seattle, Washington and do not have an internet connection, there are some options available to have you online in no time. Besides a free internet connection, the second most requested item (besides a wireless connection) is an ample amount of electrical outlets. What good is a free wireless connection if your laptop battery is dead?

University District

The University District has many areas that have free wi-fi connections. As a matter of fact, the whole University District is wi-fi enabled. Additionally most of the coffee shops on "the Ave" have wireless internet readily available. Sureshot, Tully's, Zoka, Café on the Ave are a few places that have free wi-fi. Café on the Ave requires that the user have a code to access the coffee shop's router. As most places require that you purchase a something in order to sit in their shop; this shouldn't be a problem.

Capitol Hill

Shinka Tea and Online Coffee are located on Olive Way and provide free internet access with a drink purchase. The best part about these places are that they are pretty relaxed about the amount of time that you can spend in their shops and some patrons have been known to spend all day hanging out within these coffee shops. There are ample electrical outlets at both of these places and both locations are very spacious, so you won't have to worry about not finding a seat.

Belltown

The best place in Belltown is to go to the Tully's located on 1st Ave. The Tully's in Belltown is large. However, the coffee shop lacks a large amount of electrical outlets so it might difficult to stay there for a long time.

Queen Anne

Zoka is the place to go for free wi-fi in the Queen Anne area. Plenty of electrical outlets and plenty of space - great coffee!

West Seattle

At any given time, you will see throngs of local West Seattle people within the confines of the Tully's located on Alki Ave. The Tully's has a large capacity and an ample amount of comfortable seats. The downside is the lack of electrical outlets, so it might be best if you bring your own surge protector.
