Follow the Comment Trail
Those who leave comments on your blog probably did so because you share a common interest; the comments on their blogs were likely left for the same reason. To find other blogs in categories similar to your own, look at the comments on your blog and go to the blogs of the person leaving them. Once there, click further to go to the blogs of those who left the comments there. Rinse and repeat. You'll never run out of interesting blogs about your favorite topic to read and follow.
Join Blog Networking Sites
Subscribing to blog networking sites can help increase your readership, but they're also useful to find blogs of interest in a particular genre. When registering your blog on a blog networking site, you usually have to pick 1-3 categories that describe your blog. Since all blogs on the site will be similarly categorized, it's easy to find other blogs on the same or similar topics. Blog networking sites allow you to do just that '" network with fellow bloggers with like interests.
Two blog networking sites I like are Networked Blogs and Blog Catalog. Networked Blogs is also a Facebook application, which will automatically post a snippet to your Facebook page each time you make a new blog post.
Find Random Blogs to Follow
If you don't have a particular niche in mind but just want to find random blogs, use blogger's next function. While viewing your own or any other blog on blogger/blogspot, look at the very top of the page and click on next blog to bring up a random blog hosted there. It's a great way to expand your horizons and be exposed to eclectic blogs you might not otherwise find (and maybe a few you wish you hadn't!). Reading random blogs is also a good way to brainstorm for new blogging or article ideas that you'd never think of on your own.
Simply Search
Sometimes simple is best. Pick your favorite search engine and type in the word blog along with the topic or genre you're interested in.
Once you've found a new blog to follow, make sure to leave a comment telling the blog's author that you're following them. They'll be happy to know you found their blog interesting.

Finding good blogs to follow is hard. I usually just click on the blog rolls of my friends to see who they like but I have found some good ones using the Next Blog function on Blogger too!
